Program Type: Acute

To Make Referrals: Individuals are referred by the crisis emergency response teams and admitted to the Stanislaus PHF on an involuntary legal hold.

# of Beds: 16 beds

Who We Serve: Adult residents of Stanislaus County who have an acute mental health emergency. Adult residents, 18 years of age and older, who reside in Stanislaus County, that are uninsured of having Stanislaus County Medical experiencing an acute mental health emergency are eligible to receive services. Stanislaus PHF is contracted with Stanislaus County and funded at a daily rate based on the daily census.

Hours of Operation: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

About the Program: At the Stanislaus Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), we provide intensive mental health and psychiatric treatment services in a safe, welcoming environment for adults experiencing a mental health emergency.

We believe recovery starts from within, and that our job is to do whatever it takes to provide the support needed on your recovery journey in a comfortable, structured environment. Our secure 16-bed facility has a multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist, social workers, a rehabilitation therapist, registered nurses, recovery specialists, nurse practitioners, and peer recovery coaches.

Our services emphasize choice-making skills and harm-reduction techniques. We provide a safe, respectful environment where you can receive immediate, individualized assistance and a compassionate presence to stabilize symptoms, avoid the need for higher levels of care and receive appropriate referrals to community-based resources.
