Self-Care Tip: Eat a Rainbow of Colors

A healthy eating plan includes a variety of foods you may not have considered. If 鈥渉ealthy eating鈥 makes you think about the foods you can鈥檛 have, try refocusing on all the new foods you can eat.

Eat the Rainbow

Add a variety of colors to your plate. Foods like dark, leafy greens, oranges, and tomatoes鈥攅ven fresh herbs鈥攁re loaded with vitamins, fiber, and minerals.

Try adding frozen peppers, broccoli, or onions to stews and omelets to give them a quick and convenient boost of color and nutrients. Or make a red sauce using canned tomatoes (look for 鈥渓ow sodium鈥 or 鈥渘o salt added鈥), herbs, and spices.
